The viral Dubai chocolate bar is a rich, layered chocolate bar featuring pistachio butter, crunchy phyllo dough, and milk chocolate. Inspired by Middle Eastern desserts, this luxurious treat went viral for its unique combination of flavors and textures. The crispy kataifi pastry, mixed with creamy pistachio filling, is coated in a thick layer of melted chocolate, making it the perfect homemade chocolate bar. If you’ve never tried chocolate and pistachios together – get ready to be blown away – this homemade chocolate bar is truly out of this world delicious!
This pistachio chocolate recipe uses simple but indulgent ingredients you can find at many Middle Eastern grocery stores or order online:
Melt white chocolate with a pinch of matcha powder and drizzle it into chocolate molds for a decorative effect. Refrigerate the molds to set while you prepare the filling. (This step is optional if you are not doing the decorative drizzle like I did.)
Add chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second increments, stirring in between until fully melted.
Pour 2 tablespoons of melted chocolate into each mold. Spread it evenly over the bottom and sides, then refrigerate to set.
Heat 2 tablespoons of coconut oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the kataifi (shredded phyllo dough) and toast until golden brown. In a bowl, mix the toasted kataifi, pistachio butter, and tahini until fully combined.
Divide the pistachio filling evenly into the chocolate-coated molds and spread it out. Place a layer of rye thins on top for extra crunch. Pour another 2 tablespoons of melted chocolate over each mold to seal the bars. Tap the molds gently to remove air bubbles and smooth the chocolate.
Refrigerate the chocolate bars for 30 minutes until fully set. Remove from the molds and enjoy your homemade viral Dubai chocolate bars!
This Dubai chocolate bar recipe is incredibly easy to make—no baking required! The combination of crispy kataifi, creamy pistachio filling, and rich chocolate creates the perfect balance of crunch and smoothness in every bite. It’s a true showstopper, guaranteed to impress guests with its gourmet appearance and luxurious flavors. Plus, it’s completely customizable—experiment with dark chocolate or milk and have some fun with a drizzle of white chocolate for an extra-special touch!

Could you please clarify what you mean by “rye thins”? Rye Crisp is the only thing I can think of, and I do not think that’s what you mean!!
Hi Patricia!! Of course! I used Finn crisp rye thins. They are a very thin rye cracker. I simply added it for an extra crunch (which is incredible) and a little fiber 🙂 I’m not sure where you are located but they are readily available in supermarkets and online. Lmk if you have any other questions or need more clarification! (Check out the ingredients photo yo see what the crackers look like) 🙂
Hope you can try it! It’s one of my most fave recipes!
