3 Ingredient Raspberry Chia Jam

Indulge in the homemade goodness of this easy 3-ingredient Raspberry Chia Jam. Ready in just 10 minutes, this jam is the perfect combination of sweet and tangy flavors, without any refined sugar! A quick and easy spread for breakfast, snacks, and desserts, making it a guilt-free addition to your pantry.

Quick Raspberry Jam

You never know how easy something is until you try it! When I first tried making my own sauces, spreads and dressings I was wondering “What the heck have I gotten myself into!?” I quickly realized that it was so much easier than I thought.. and to boot, a three ingredient jam?! Who ever heard of something so amazing? Welcome to my kitchen friends! Today we are going to make a raspberry jam that is so easy you will never think twice again about purchasing a spread filled with preservatives and unknown words! When you read the ingredient list below you will smile at its simplicity…

The Ingredients You Will Need For The Easiest Raspberry Jam

  • Raspberries: Undoubtedly the most essential ingredient in this recipe! Raspberries provide the jam’s base, offering natural sweetness and a vibrant, tangy flavor. You could do this recipe with strawberry or blueberries but the measurements may change slightly.
  • Chia Seeds: Chia seeds thicken the jam naturally, adding a lovely texture and boosting it with fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. Without the chia seeds you will just have a jar of muddled raspberries so don’t skip this essential ingredient and I highly suggest not trying to substitute it for something else.
  • Maple Syrup: Now this recipe could have only two ingredients but raspberries are actually not that sweet and often a bit tart so adding something like maple syrup or agave really does help enhance the jam’s flavor; however it’s optional and can be adjusted according to your taste.

How to Make Raspberry Jam

Making this jam is as easy as reading the list of ingredients! You don’t need much other than a few tools like a pot, and a jar.

Start by mashing the raspberries in the saucepan and then bringing them to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and add chia seeds and sweetener, then mix. Take your time and let the jam totally cool off before you put it into jars. Once jarred, refrigerate between uses.

Easy Raspberry Jam Recipe No Pectin

What I love about this recipe is the lack of pectin. This jam recipe only has ingredients that I know how to say and are without compounds, preservatives or anything else. If you are considering making it last a little longer I have read of people putting in a squeeze of lemon juice however it’s so delicious that I am sure you will finish this raspberry jam in NO time!

This recipe uses chia seeds as a natural thickener, making it an easy and healthier alternative to traditional jam recipes that rely on pectin.

How to Use Raspberry Jam

The options are endless. I kid you not, raspberry jam is pretty dang amazing with everything. I love it on toast, I love it in overnight oats, I love taking a spoonful of it when I’m craving something sweet and I also enjoy adding it to smoothies. You could create a really delicious parfait; add it to a homemade salad dressing, or even as a cake filling. Whatever you do with it, make sure you let me know!! I love being inspired by all the ways that you all create my recipes.

Tips for Making Homemade Raspberry Jam

  • Try the jam warm over ice cream – I assure you it will blow your mind!
  • This recipe works for any berries and you could even mix berries if you’re feeling wild!
  • Both white and black chia seeds are great options so use whatever you have available at the moment.
