I’m all about saving a dollar and when it comes to $20 dollar smoothies, I’m all about spending that money on making the smoothie at least 5 times! Without a doubt this Malibu Mango Smoothie is the trendiest smoothie out right now – honestly I didn’t even know that smoothies trend but here we are! This Erewhon smoothie is unreal delicious and outrageously priced and I for one am only going to try it once and then recreate it at home because thats wild! I decided to create a version that is a fraction of the cost, plant-based and may well be better than the original.
My Copycat Erewhon Malibu Mango Smoothie has Lucious layers of the best vegan coconut whipped topping along with a strawberry puree glaze and the dreamiest, thick and a creamy mango smoothie base. This recipe tastes just as amazing as the original (if not better). Plus, making it at home means you can whip it up multiple times for the cost of one store-bought version. Save your wallet and make this smoothie your new go-to indulgence!
Here’s a closer look at what makes this mango smoothie recipe so special. Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make this smoothie right at home:
This smoothie recipe is as simple as it is stunning:
Blend about 4 large strawberries with a touch of water until smooth. Set it aside in the fridge.
Add the mango, pineapple, orange juice, coconut water, banana, maple syrup, and mushroom powder to a blender. Blend until silky smooth.
In a serving glass, start with a generous dollop of coconut whipped topping, followed by a drizzle of strawberry purée. Fill the glass halfway with the mango smoothie, then repeat the layers.
Top the smoothie with extra whipped topping, strawberry purée, and optional coconut flakes. Serve and enjoy!
This creamy mango smoothie pairs perfectly with a crunchy granola topping for added texture, a slice of avocado or almond butter toast to complement the fruity flavors, or a side of fresh fruit like berries, kiwi, or mango to enhance its tropical vibe.
Both work great; frozen mango chunks will create a thick, creamy and super chilled smoothie without needing extra ice cubes. If you’re using fresh mango, try and chill them first and ensure your other ingredients are cold so your smoothie is chill and refreshing.
One medium-sized mango yields about 1 cup of diced fruit. For this recipe, you’ll need 1-2 medium mangoes, depending on their size, or use pre-cut frozen mango chunks for convenience.
It’s cheaper!! Also if you don’t live in Los Angeles – it’s the only way you’ll ever try this drink. It’s so easy to make and filled with healthy, refreshing ingredients that when blended together taste like sunshine! It’s incredibly affordable—you can make it three times the price of one from Erewhon. It’s creamy and indulgent, with luscious layers of whipped topping and mango goodness that feel like a treat but it’s totally good for you!
