The Best Green Smoothie

If you know me then you will know that I am truly obsessed with smoothies in the best way possible. Who doesn’t love a breakfast that is quick to make, filled with the morning essentials and fresh? Today I am bringing you a variation of a vegan green smoothie that I make often and love so very much! Green Smoothies are so easy to customize but this is the blend of ingredients that I’m loving right now. It might be the best green smoothie that promises a perfect blend of health and taste.

What’s in A Vegan Green Smoothie?

  • Fresh Greens: The base of our smoothie, greens like kale or spinach, are loaded with nutrients and give the smoothie its vibrant color.
  • Frozen Bananas: Provide natural sweetness and a creamy texture.
  • Kiwi Fruit: A key ingredient in this smoothie as it adds a tangy flavor and is rich in vitamin C and dietary fiber.
  • Shredded Coconut: Gives a tropical twist, healthy fats and a wonderful texture! I love adding shredded coconut to my smoothies.
  • Greens Powder: Boosts the smoothie with extra nutrients.
  • Vegan Yogurt: Adds creaminess and plant-based protein.
  • Oat Milk: Provides a smooth, creamy base and additional plant protein.

Vegan Green Smoothie

As a passionate advocate for plant-based living, I’ve crafted this smoothie to be 100% vegan; however, if that isn’t your preference you can always change some of the ingredients to be what you prefer or have on hand. This smoothie is a delightful mix of natural, wholesome ingredients that come together to create a refreshing and nourishing drink, perfect for any time of the day.

How to Make this Green Smoothie Recipe

Making this smoothie is as easy as it gets. With just a few simple steps and some fresh ingredients, you’ll have a deliciously green drink ready in no time. Gather all of your ingredients, throw them in the blender and blitz! It truly is that easy but don’t forget to enjoy the process – something about food made with love just tastes better.

One thing I love about a quick and easy smoothie is that you can make it fresh anytime you want it or you can make it ahead of time and put it in a container that will keep it airtight until you’re ready to enjoy it! I love making a smoothie ahead of time and when I go to my fitness class having something ready to drink when I get out! It’s like the ultimate reward.

Don’t forget to stick slices of kiwi on the inside of the glass! It’s a way to make smoothies more fun and creative!

Tips for this Green Smoothie Recipe

  • Frozen Bananas: Some might come for me but I really do prefer frozen bananas, they provide a creamier texture and they provide a coolness to the smoothie that a room temperature banana can’t provide!
  • Sweetness to YOUR Liking: Take what I say about sweetness how you will! We all experience the sugar and salt in things differently and it’s important to find the balance for YOU. Also sometimes you can taste the sweetener of choice more than others so if you have a preferred sweetener use it!
  • Experimentation is Key: Get crazy and throw whatever ingredients spark your interest into the smoothie. I personally love this combination because the kiwi really balances everything else nicely but if you’re not a kiwi fan maybe you won’t press this recipe – but if you did – swap it out for something you love!

Green Smoothie Health Benefits

Green anything is always going to be loaded with nutritional benefits but a green smoothie in particular takes things to another level. Having raw ingredients ensures that you capitalize on their benefits. This Kiwi Green Smoothie in particular is an absolute powerhouse of nutrition. Packed with vitamins, minerals, and plant-based protein, it’s an excellent way to fuel your body and boost your health.

I love barley greens powder but you can add any greens powder. Just make sure it’s not too potent otherwise the flavor could overwhelm you.
