This Fig and Stormy has all the cozy vibes I’m looking for at this time of the year and it’s not your typical dark n stormy because it’s made with fig preserves and my goodness – what a divine touch! Starring the classic trio of lemon, rum and ginger beer with a tantalizing fun and delicious twist of FIG! The warm peppery notes from the ginger beer, paired with sweet earthy figs is a match made in cocktail heaven. A delicious twist on a classic, this cocktail is going to wow friends and family and be a showstopper at any fall gathering. Here’s everything you’ll need to make this cocktail:

  • Cocktail spoon, ice scoop

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp fig preserves
  • 2 ounces dark rum
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • 3 ounces ginger beer
  • ice

Garnish Ingredients

  • fresh figs
  • dark chocolate
  • crushed pistachio

Instructions
 

  • Begin by preparing the beautiful chocolate-covered figs for garnish. Slice a fig in half, dip into melted chocolate, and sprinkle with crushed pistachios. Place on parchment paper and refrigerate.
  • Next, Into a serving glass, add the fig preserves, rum, and lemon juice.
  • Using a cocktail spoon, stir vigorously.
  • Next, fill the glass with ice, then Top with ginger beer and garnish with the chocolate-covered fig.

Notes

  • I made this cocktail with dark rum. The caramel notes pair so well with the sweet fig. Alternatively, you could use a bourbon of choice for a mocktail a zero-proof rum or omit the alcohol entirely 🙂
  • I opted for a fun chocolate fig garnish. It’s not only beautiful but a fun treat whilst sipping your cocktail! Alternatively, you could use just fresh fig or fig with some thyme would also look stunning
