With the sweet tang of pineapple and the zing of fresh ginger, this smoothie is the perfect blend of flavor and health benefits. Let’s get blending and give our bodies the love they deserve!

Anti-Inflammatory Ginger Pineapple Smoothie Ingredients

  • Frozen Pineapple: Provides a sweet and tangy flavor, packed with vitamin C and manganese. These nutrients are essential for immune function and bone health, making pineapple a great base for this smoothie.
  • Fresh Ginger: Known for its anti-inflammatory properties and ability to aid digestion. Ginger can help reduce muscle soreness and lower blood sugar levels, making it a powerful addition to any smoothie.
  • Turmeric Powder: Contains curcumin, which has powerful anti-inflammatory effects. Turmeric not only adds a warm, earthy flavor but also helps to fight inflammation and may improve symptoms of arthritis and depression.
  • Coconut Water: Hydrating and full of electrolytes, perfect for a refreshing smoothie. Coconut water is low in calories and high in potassium, making it an excellent choice for rehydration and muscle function.
  • Fresh Lemon Zest and Juice: Adds a zesty kick and helps to enhance the flavors. Lemon is also rich in vitamin C and acts as a natural detoxifier, supporting your immune system and overall health.
  • Ripe Mango: Adds natural sweetness and a creamy texture, rich in vitamins A and C. Mango is also high in fiber, which aids in digestion and keeps you feeling full longer.

How to Make This Smoothie

Making this pineapple ginger smoothie is as easy as it gets. First, gather your frozen pineapple chunks, ripe mango, fresh ginger, lemon zest, lemon juice, turmeric powder, and coconut water. Add all the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until everything is smooth and well-combined.

For an extra touch, pour the smoothie into serving glasses and garnish with a slice of fresh pineapple. To make meal prep even easier, you can place all the pre-measured ingredients (except the coconut water) into a freezer bag. When you’re ready to make your smoothie, just add the contents of the bag and the coconut water to your blender and blend away!

How Much Ginger Should I Use in a Smoothie?

The amount of ginger you use in your smoothie depends on your personal taste. For this recipe, I recommend 2 tablespoons of fresh ginger. This amount provides a nice kick without being too overpowering. If you’re new to ginger or prefer a milder flavor, start with 1 tablespoon and adjust to your taste. Once you’re comfortable with ginger you can take shots of it first thing in the morning and actually enjoy the burn!! Baby steps 🙂

Pineapple and Ginger Benefits

  • Pineapple: Rich in vitamins, enzymes, and antioxidants, it helps boost your immune system, aids digestion, and reduces inflammation.
  • Ginger: Known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, ginger can help reduce muscle pain and soreness, improve digestion, and fight infections.

Tips & Tricks For The Best Pineapple Ginger Smoothie

  • Use Frozen Fruit: This ensures your smoothie is thick and cold without needing to add ice, which can dilute the flavors.
  • Balance the Flavors: Adjust the amount of ginger and lemon to suit your taste. Start with less and add more if needed.
  • Boost Your Smoothie: Add a smoothie booster like KRAVE PLUS, which includes chia seeds, flaxseeds, and dates, for extra nutrition.
