The Ultimate Fall Charcuterie Board

This beautiful fall charcuterie board is filled with an assortment of cheeses, cured meats, seasonal fruit, nuts, crackers, honey, and sweet and savory snacks. It’s an easy, impressive appetizer for fall entertaining, Thanksgiving, and holiday gatherings.

Ingredients
  

  • Cheddar cheese, cut into cubes
  • 3 additional varieties of cheese, including a combination of soft and hard cheeses
  • Prosciutto
  • Salami
  • Apples, thinly sliced
  • Persimmon
  • Fresh figs
  • Dried apricots dried fruit of choice
  • Pickles and Olives
  • Honey
  • Almonds, Cashews and Pecans
  • Yogurt-covered pretzels
  • Crackers
  • Fresh thyme, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Choose a large wooden board, serving platter, or cheese board with enough room for all of your ingredients.
  • Arrange the cheeses around the board, varying their shapes and placement. Cut some cheese into cubes or slices while leaving other pieces whole.
  • Add the prosciutto and salami, folding or loosely arranging the slices into small clusters.
  • Arrange the sliced apples, persimmon, and fresh figs around the cheeses and meats.
  • Add crackers in small stacks or fans, then fill in larger spaces with dried apricots.
  • Add small clusters of almonds, cashews, and pecans throughout the board.
  • Arrange the olives and pickles around the board, I used small bowls
  • Add honey and yogurt-covered pretzels to bring in a sweet element.
  • Fill any remaining gaps with smaller ingredients, then finish with fresh thyme.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate perishable ingredients until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Feel free to swap the cheeses, fruits, nuts, or meats based on what you love and what is in season.
  • For the best presentation, use cheeses with different textures and colors.
  • Slice apples shortly before serving to keep them looking fresh.
  • Arrange ingredients in clusters rather than scattering them evenly for a fuller, more intentional look.
