- 1 oz elderflower syrup
- 2 oz lemon juice
- ⅓ cup water
- ⅛ tsp butterfly pea powder
- sparkling all-natural lemon-lime soda
- ice
- First, in a small bowl, combine the butterfly pea powder and water and whisk until thoroughly combined. 
- Next, to a tall glass, add the elderflower syrup and lemon juice. 
- Add around half a cup of ice (enough to cover the lemon mixture. Followed by the butterfly pea mixture. 
- Add enough ice to fill the remainder of the glass and top with natural lemon lime soda. 
- Garnish with a slice of fresh lemon and rosemary. Enjoy! 
- I love the floral notes of elderflower syrup but you can sub for honey or maple syrup
- Fresh lemons are key to this all natural lemonade, the taste is unmatched. For a twist you can also make this with fresh limes!
- I used butterfly pea powder; it’s a staple in my kitchen to add to smoothies and shakes, and it lasts a long time in the cupboard. You could also use butterfly pea flowers and steep them in boiling water to make tea, then chill them and use them in this recipe.
