- 1 oz elderflower syrup
- 2 oz lemon juice
- ⅓ cup water
- ⅛ tsp butterfly pea powder
- sparkling all-natural lemon-lime soda
- ice
First, in a small bowl, combine the butterfly pea powder and water and whisk until thoroughly combined.
Next, to a tall glass, add the elderflower syrup and lemon juice.
Add around half a cup of ice (enough to cover the lemon mixture. Followed by the butterfly pea mixture.
Add enough ice to fill the remainder of the glass and top with natural lemon lime soda.
Garnish with a slice of fresh lemon and rosemary. Enjoy!
- I love the floral notes of elderflower syrup but you can sub for honey or maple syrup
- Fresh lemons are key to this all natural lemonade, the taste is unmatched. For a twist you can also make this with fresh limes!
- I used butterfly pea powder; it’s a staple in my kitchen to add to smoothies and shakes, and it lasts a long time in the cupboard. You could also use butterfly pea flowers and steep them in boiling water to make tea, then chill them and use them in this recipe.
